Host: Ted Feldman(PCRC) and Leah Gerber (PCRC)
Guests: Albert Straus (Straus Creamery) and Scott Gerber (longtime ranch hand)
Show Length: 58 minutes
In the first segment of this show we interview Albert Straus, founder and executive chair of Straus Family Creamery. We learn about Straus’s carbon-neutral farming methods, and how these, combined with agricultural techniques that reverse climate change, are inspiring change from the local to the international level. In the second segment we interview Scott Gerber, who spent his whole life working on cattle ranches. He talks about his experiences as a ranch hand, about how a ranch’s success is largely determined by the health of their cattle and land, and how pasture rotation mimics nature and heals the land.
